About Us

Village Home Stores are real stores in Culcheth (Cheshire) and Cadishead (Manchester). We began in 1974 as "Jacksons", which became "Culcheth DIY".

Today we stock full ranges of HG cleaning products and Dylon dyes as well as most kitchen and garden essentials, which is why we call ourselves a 'home store' rather than a 'DIY'. Of course we still carry the full range of DIY essentials.

This online store provides our local customers with access to many more products than we can physically stock, to 'reserve and collect' or get free local delivery (for bulky items), such as fence panels, garden furniture, and building materials.

This online store also allows our customers from around the UK, the U.S., Australia, and Europe, to order 'hard to find' products, for shipment to their door. We still don't know why old fashioned tin openers, toilet roll inners, and Windolene, are so popular!
