This "tip-and-trap" device is straightforward to use. When the mouse walks inside toward the bait, the unit tips backwards, causing the entry door to pivot shut and lock. Releasing the mouse is entirely hands-free; you just tip the unit forward and pull the door open after you have driven to a rural idyll for it to inhabit. Don't forget to capture and release it's partner and all it's children to the same location. 

Each trap can only accomodate a single mouse. The trap should be regularly checked in order to minimise stress on the captured rodent. You don't want it suing you for unlawful imprisonment and the stress and anxiety caused.

Be aware that a juvenille mouse alone may be too light to trigger the trap and a large adult mouse may be too long to allow the trap door to close. Just like humans the kids get away with anything.

It is perfectly safe around children and pets, unless your pet is a mouse.
