Nippon Ant Bait Station

The Nippon Ant Bait Station contains "attractant"; a sweet sugary liquid; and a slow-acting poison. Ants take the poison laced food back to the colony; including the queen; which infects them with the active ingredient; iusually Spinosad; killing them all within 7 to 10 days.

The Bait Station Should ideally be placed on an ant trail. And you should remove any alternative sources of food so there are no alternatives. Ant colonies' food preferences can alternate between 'sugary sweet' and 'protein rich'. If you notice the ants are not tempted by your bait station then consider applying a little peanut butter in the trap as this is protein rich.
